The girls played volleyball throughout all of their high school years and formed a very close bond with each other as well as their other teammates.

“We went to a high ropes course at the beginning of the year,” said Sarah Rose, senior. “Sometimes we go out to get food or ice cream together.”

Senior Kristie Paus has enjoyed spending so much time with her teammates and knows that she can count on them for anything.

“My teammates always step up when needed,” said Paus. “We have a lot of young players and a lot of flexibility with what positions everyone can play and no matter who gets put on the court, they always rise to the occasion and do what needs to get done.”

The team formed great memories together on the bus rides to their games. To hype themselves up, the girls would joke around with each other and their coaches.

“On the bus rides to and from games we listen to music and sing with each other,” said senior Sydney Bonthron.

Patty Iverson, Girls’ Varsity Head Volleyball Coach, thinks very fondly off all three girls and is proud of the whole team for looking out for each other throughout the season.

“This year’s seniors are very special in that they have helped to nurture nine new teammates who had not yet been a part of this varsity roster,” said Iverson. “In doing so, they were patient, supportive, and provided positive motivation.”
