Key club provides students plenty of volunteering opportunities to bolster their college resume or to improve morally.

“Key club (influences a teenager’s life positively) so much,” Ms. Kennedy-Brooks, the club’s adviser said.

Kennedy-Brooks has been in charge of the club for three years, and the number of member has proportionally increased each year, as it has peaked this year at over 200 members. She explained how the kids have been the reason the club has been such a success.

“It was founded on developing leaders through service, the kids plan everything, and it’s good for the kids to look outside of themselves,” Ms. Kennedy-Brooks said.
