Angels and superstars in 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Ever since the 1990’s, Victoria’s Secret has been producing an annual fashion show in which their most publicized models, the Victoria’s Secret Angels, and new upcoming models flaunt the company’s lingerie and sleepwear down the runway to the music that is currently topping the charts.

The renowned show has taken place all over the world including Miami, Los Angeles, Cannes, and London. This year the show took place in the beautiful Grand Palais in Paris, France.

21 year old American model, Kendall Jenner, shows off her excitement for the spectacle while wearing the famous pink robe.

The show took place on Nov. 30, but aired on CBS at 10 p.m. ET on Dec. 5 for those who are not rich and lucky enough to be able to attend the spectacle. Those who were lucky however, were able to witness this season’s gorgeous and experienced angels. This year’s Victoria’s Secret Angels are as follows.

Adriana Lima

35 year old Adriana Lima has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2000.

Alessandra Ambrosio

Now 35, Alessandra Ambrosio was the first spokes model for the company’s PINK line.

Lily Aldridge

31 year old Lily Aldridge is an American model from Santa Monica, California.

At age 28, the Swedish model Elsa Hosk has worked for a number of leading brands including Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.

Jasmine Tookes

Twenty five year old IMG Model Jasmine Tookes modeled the $3 million Fantasy bra in this year’s fashion show in Paris.

Josephine Skriver

At only 23, Josephine Skriver has walked in over 300 fashion shows after her modeling debut in 2011.

Lais Ribeiro

Twenty six year old Brazilian beauty Lais Ribeiro got to fulfill the dream that many girls dream of, becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel.

Martha Hunt

At age 27, American fashion model Martha Hunt has walked the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in 2013, 2014, and 2015 and has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2015.

Romee Strijd

Dutch fashion model Romee Strijd has been a Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2015 and she is only 21.

Sara Sampaio

Twenty five year old Portuguese model, Sara Sampaio, is best known for being a Victoria’s Secret Angel as well as her appearance in the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Stella Maxwell

At age 26, New Zealand and Australian fashion model Stella Maxwell has been one of Victoria’s Secret Angels since 2015.

Taylor Hill

Currently 20, American model Taylor Hill has been an angel since 2014.

The 45 minute runway show which featured 51 models in total and around 80 looks was accompanied by the music of three superstars. The show was lucky to have Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, and The Weeknd perform.

After the runway show is over, artists Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd, get to strut their stuff as well.

Although this year’s show took 18 months to prepare and a whopping two weeks to set up, the work paid off and the show was spectacular and unique from previous ones.

Different from other years, several models ditched their extensions and weaves and preferred to rock their natural hair down the runway. Pictured below is one of the models, Jourdana Phillips who flawlessly sported her natural locks.
