1) Stardust Bowl in Addison

Being the largest bowling center in Illinois, Stardust is the best place to go with your whole group of friends and bowl the night away. It is located at 37 E. Lorraine Ave. in Addison and open every day of the week. Not only is there bowling, there are arcade games, air hockey, pool, food, and more to offer. Everyday there are specials as well as student and family deals that will surely not break your bank account.
2) Elmhurst Art Museum
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Elmhurst Art Museum is featuring an exhibition named Sense of Place that will be open until the 12th of February. The exhibition is a small white room that is a community art project that will help you destress and make you feel like a child again. Created by Donna Castellanos, the room is filled with furniture, toys, and picture frames that you are allowed to color! You only need a form of identification, which can be your school ID, to enter and unleash your inner five year old.
3) Lombard Roller Rink
With food, music, and themed nights, the Lombard Roller Rink located at 201 W. 22nd. Street is a perfect place to twirl around and be clumsy with your friends. Admission ranges from 5 to 8 dollars therefore you will have enough money left over to enjoy some food and drinks at the snack bar.
4) CorePower Yoga
Located at 183 N. York Street, CorePower Yoga is a studio in uptown Elmhurst perfect for those who need to release stress and induce calmness. If it your first time going there, not only is there beginner classes, you can also get a free week by going on their website! Bring a mat, towel, and water bottle!

If Stardust is too long of a drive, Fitz’s is another place with bowling that is located in uptown Elmhurst. Fitz’s offers crazy deals on their food like $.50 boneless wings and $2 tacos! Fitz’s is the perfect place to watch a football game, bowl, play billiards and arcade games, as well as enjoy live music that are often York students!
6) Courts Plus

Just a quick walk from York, Courts Plus is one of the coolest fitness facilities in Elmhurst. It has tons of group classes, aquatics, tennis, a climbing wall, and more and if it is your first time going you can show up, get a free tour of the place and a free week!
7) Edge Ice Arena
Want to go skating but don’t want to go outside in the frigid weather? Then the Edge Ice Arena located in Bensenville is the perfect place for you! Ranging from 3 to 7 dollars, public skating is open several times a week. If you do not know how to ice skate, the staff at the Edge hold classes that will surely turn you into a professional ice skate. Fun fact, the Blackhawks used to train here!
8) Classic Cinemas York Theater

With so many great movies coming out this new year, the York Theater uptown is the perfect way to spend your Friday night. The theater has amazing deals such as tickets selling at $6.50 for shows before 6pm and $5 tickets all day Tuesday. Since it is situated in the middle of uptown Elmhurst, you can grab something to eat at Chipotle or BWW after your film.
