Valentine’s Day is this week, and love is in the air. “Serendipity”, (2001).

“Serendipity”, its title meaning a pleasant surprise, tells the story of strangers that fall in love at first sight while reaching for the same pair of gloves in Bloomingdale’s. Both in relationships, Jonathan and Sara decide to leave their relationship up to fate. They leave their phone numbers in a book and on a $5 bill and let these objects circulate with the idea that if it’s meant to be, it will happen. Watch to see as these two unexpected people set out to find each other.

With three weeks until an asteroid obliterates the earth and a panicked wife that leaves him to die, Dodge decides to go on a road trip to find his college sweetheart. Keeping him company is his neighbor Penny who starts to distract Dodge from his plan in this unique film.

For a Deep, Dramatic Romance Movie

“Silver Linings Playbook”, (2012).

Pat, a man with bipolar disorder, returns home after a trip to the psychiatric hospital and tries to reconnect with his wife who has left him. While staying at his parents’ house, he meets Tiffany, a mysterious woman who has been widowed, and he agrees to compete with her in a dance competition in exchange for help reconciling with his wife.

For the Movie about a Change of Heart

“About A Boy”, (2002).

Will is a commitment-averse bachelor living in London who starts to attend “Single Parents Alone Together” support group meetings in order to meet women, despite not having any children of his own. While on a picnic with one of these single mothers, he meets 12-year-old Marcus, the son of his date’s friend. Marcus tries to set Will up with his own mother. Spending more time around Marcus, Will begins to mature from womanizer to a romantic.
