Last school year, York’s unique homecoming tradition of King of the Couch to raise school spirit encompassed a total of eight groups– an all-time record. However, we face a dilemma this upcoming school year. This beloved tradition has encountered a lack of interest from the class of 2019, which will, in turn, tarnish York’s vibrant spirit for the homecoming season.

Below are haikus written by some previous King of the Couch groups in hope to inspire the returning senior class to get their school spirit on. No one wants to see King of the Couch die.
