Elmhurst hosts climate strike as a part of a national movement

This past Thursday, Elmhurst hosted a climate strike at the Elmhurst Presbyterian Church. This event was part of a nationwide strike stemming from the the 16-year-old, Greta Thunberg, who striked outside the Swedish parliament in Aug. 2018 pledging for stronger climate action. Strikes in the US have been prevalent this week as Thunberg visited the United Nations headquarters in New York City on Sept. 23, 2019.
