Student services pose with Wynnie and Gil one last time before they are hidden for Art Appreciation Week.
“We refer to Wynnie and Gil a lot,” said Mrs. Talbot. “We ask,’what would Wynnie and Gil do?’ They are our motivation.”
The YSS psychiatrists and social workers refer in their sessions to Wynnie and Gil to help students with their decision making skills.
“It’s traumatic,” Harriett Finley said. “I wasn’t expecting that, it’ll be a void. It’s like we’re missing something in our day. It’s art that’s the whole point, the fact that art can bring different emotions.”
