Fine Arts Week gets groovier on Wednesday with jazz and dance concerts

March 4, 2020

Although Wednesday was a late start day, the third day of Fine Arts Week was ready to amaze and amuse in the shortened periods. The midweek performances included the dance program, the percussion ensemble, a capella choir, jazz band, and ended with guest artist Elliott From. Between dancing, singing, and even painting, the midway mark of Fine Arts Week was full of entertaining acts for the well-rested York audience.

“At concerts you often just see family and friends of those performing,  but as this event it was so amazing because so many teachers bring their classes to come see it, and I’m so glad York supports the fine arts,” senior Aaron Ludkowski, who plays trombone in jazz ensemble, said. “After my solo, I had a bunch of people, some of which I didn’t even know, who came up to me and said I did a great job. It is so great being able to build the York community and show what we do in the fine arts part of school.”
