Frances McDormand competes for another Academy Award for her stellar performance in “Nomadland.” The film’s director, Chloe Zhao, is also in line for a win.

This Sunday, the 93rd annual Academy Awards ceremony will take place in both the Los Angeles Union Station and Dolby Theatre. The two month delayed ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. central time. This year’s nominees embraced diversity unlike any previous season, including two women nominated for Best Director, the first Muslim and first Asian American in the Best Actor category.
