On Monday, May 4, York celebrated some of the highest achievements in academics and athletics.

Hosted by Principal Diana Smith and the rest of the administration, York students and staff along with parents enjoying seeing the huge successes of our school.

“It was wonderful. It’s so nice to see how much hard work we’ve all put in. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone does in their future,” senior Connor Lockie, winner of the English Department award said.

Seniors are especially recognized for their accomplishments over all four years of high school. Individual awards for every academic department, along with specialized academic and athletic awards.

Recipient of the Business Department’s Marketing Award and senior, Joe Nosek said, “It feels good to have hard work paid off after four years.”

Not only did students enjoy winning awards themselves, but enjoyed seeing their peers succeed.

Senior Hope Kaliski,winner of PSAS and ISS said, “It’s cool to see everyone’s achievement. They all deserve it.”
