Cheeto experiment sets off fire alarm
Students were shocked out of their seats during first period this morning when an unexpected fire alarm went off.
According to faculty in the Science department, the alarm was set off by smoke from a chemical reaction during an Honors Chemistry lab experiment in Mr. Golebiowski’s class.
The infamous Cheeto experiment is partially to blame, although indirectly. An old coffee can used in the experiment contained a build-up of soot, which caused excessive steam and smoke.
Students and faculty waited outside for 10 minutes while the fire department inspected the situation before finally giving the okay to return to classes.
