Under the Monocle: Chris McCoy
With the football season’s end last Friday, junior Chris McCoy has shown through as one of York’s strongest players.
“I have been playing football for eight years, and I love it,” said McCoy. “I love it because it gives me a sense of pride fighting for the win.”
Despite York not being able to qualify for state, McCoy still feels as if this year was a success because he learned a lot.
“This season was good, I had a lot of fun, but I really wish we could’ve done better,” said McCoy. “Either way, I love playing with my dawgs.”
Outside of football, McCoy enjoys fishing, hunting, and hanging out with friends. Also, he’s an extreme “fireworks enthusiast.”
In the end, however, McCoy expressed that his main passion is football.
“Outside of playing football, my favorite thing to do is talk about football to my friends and family,” said McCoy.
