La Brigade does Chopped!
Last week, the Food and Restaurant Management kids competed in a cooking competition similar to the show called “Chopped”. The three ingredients that the students had to work with were turkey, cranberries, and stuffing. The groups then all came up with what to do with all of their thanksgiving leftovers!
There were two competitions, one for each period. In period 5, there were four kitchens competing. The Chopped champions were from kitchen 4! Group members Peter Dicianni, Alex Yacko, and Richard Incandela created a take on sushi with the thanksgiving leftovers that left the judges wanting more!
Period 6 was up next. There were three kitchens competing in the competition and all were very eager to win. The winner from this period was kitchen 2! Team members Kenna Bays, Mikayla Castora, and Matt Carbone created a burger dish. The judges loved it!
Make sure to check out La Brigade and book for upcoming luncheons! Congratulations to all the chefs that participated in the competition!
