Behind the scenes of Les Miserables
A close-up of one of the iconic Broadway costumes.
On April 14, Broadway’s longest running musical will come to life on York’s stage. Complete with a full orchestra pit, professional lighting and Broadway costumes, York’s Les Miserables promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

The stage is set in the mid-1800’s amidst tension in France during the June Rebellion.

The pit is made of almost 30 musicians.

A close-up of the Les Miserables score. There is no script for this show, as it is a sung-through musical, so the cast and pit are given only music.

The girls’ dressing room is full of a variety of costumes, from rags to riches.

The men’s costumes are a mix of poverty and the police force, all sent from Broadway.

The cast and crew are eagerly waiting to perform, on opening night–Thursday, April 14.
