York-hi and Football McTeacher Night
On Tues. May 3, students gathered at the North Elmhurst McDonalds on York Road. With the help of teachers and staff from almost every department, the money that was raised went to the York-hi and the football team.
Football Coach Matthew Monken worked the drive thru window the entire three hours during the event. He raised a ton of money in tips that are going to help the newspaper fund a printed paper. Thanks to him, and the boys on his football team, the newspaper is looking up.
Another way the two organizations were able to raise money was due to the infamous pie costume. Teachers and even some students put on the pie costume while someone else walked around with a basket of McDonald’s apple pies and collected money.
At the end of the night, over $600 dollars was raised; it was a successful night!
