York’s 2019 prom dance will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier in Chicago. This year’s theme is “Fly me to the moon.” One ticket to the dance costs $110 and a ticket for the post-prom cruise aboard the Odyssey costs an additional $35, for a total of $145 if you choose to attend the dance and the post-prom cruise. Seniors can purchase tickets (at the bookstore) from April 2nd-April 18th and juniors April 5th-April 18th.
Check in at York will begin at 5:45 p.m. York High School does not permit the use of limousines to drop students off at school and students will be unable to attend if they use one. Bus service on a luxury coach will be provided and required to and from Navy Pier. The luxury coaches will leave York High School at 6:15 p.m. Prom will begin at 7:15 p.m. and end at 11:15 p.m. The post-prom cruise boards at 11:30 p.m. and ends at 2 a.m. The post-prom buses will return to York around 3 a.m. Buses for students not attending post-prom will return around 12:15 a.m.

Nominate a Prom King/Queen
Attention seniors! Please vote for one SENIOR male and female to be honored at this year’s Prom at the Crystal Gardens of Navy Pier. Nominees, if they accept, will have their names placed on a ballot. Students attending Prom will vote for the winners during the bus ride downtown, and the winning male/female will be announced by the DJ.
