Seniors Clay Lynam, Chris Rieger, Julian Race and Michael Ryan have combined two things that really “rock”: music and York Community High School, with their King of the Couch group: Smells Like Duke Spirit
Q: What inspired your King of the Couch group?
A: We’ve been wanting to do a King of the Couch group since freshman year. We also like music, rock and Nirvana, so Smells Like Duke Spirit.
Q: Besides going to football games and dressing up, what do you do to spread school spirit?
A: I mean, we’ve been to a lot of practices. We haven’t missed a day.
Q: Why does your group deserve to win King of the Couch this year?
A: Effort. We are more determined than other groups. This is our main activity and we’re taking this super seriously.
