Meet the Kings of the Couch: Dukes on Duty
When duty to spread York cheer called, Seniors (from left) Alexian Nevarez, Jonathan Santos, Tyler Gorski and Corey Elliott answered by creating their King of the Couch group Dukes on Duty.
For most life-guarding is a summer gig, but for Seniors Alexian Nevarez, Corey Elliott, Jonathan Santos, and Tyler Gorski, it’s a year-round job to enforce school spirit with their King of the Couch group Dukes on Duty!
Q: What inspired your King of the Couch group?
A: Our love for York! When we wake up, we’re happy to be Dukes. The passing periods are some of the best parts of our days.
Q: Besides going to the football games and dressing up, what do you do to spread school spirit?
A: Smiling, having a good time, and including everyone. The grind never stops.
Q: Why does your group deserve to win King of the Couch this year?
A: We truly love everyone. We put the school first and the competition second.
