Italian Club dishes on desserts
Benvenuto il club di italiano/ Welcome to Italian Club!
Like usual, there will be parties that will sample authentic Italian foods; the next meeting will feature an Italian favorite: zeppole. Zeppole is a large shell filled with custard and topped with powdered sugar and is served to celebrate “il festa della papa” or Father’s Day. Likewise, this meeting will go into depth about how Father’s Day has evolved in Italy and why they celebrate it in March instead of June like we do in America.
“Zeppole is my students favorite dessert that they look forward to every year,” said Signorina DelPercio. “We are also going to incorporate fun activities and crafts that kids in Italy do for their fathers. We will announce the date of this meeting very soon so keep your eyes out!”
The annual bocce ball tournament will also take place when/if spring actually arrives , so this date still needs to be determined. But get a group of 4 people, come up with a creative team name, and get ready to verse your friends in the tournament! Any and all students are welcome!
As the end of the year is approaching, fun festivities will continue to be scheduled to celebrate the end of another school year, so stay attentive to announcements and postings around the hallway!
A presto!/See you soon!
