The York Model UN team had a successful conference on October 4th at Carl Sandburg High School.

Each conference is a stimulation of the real United Nations. Team members research and debate on international topics going on in the world against other individuals from local schools.

Even though no awards were won, President Alex Bliss says, “It was great exposure and experience to our new club members.”

Club members are preparing for the upcoming conference by doing a practice conference and participate in workshops on how to efficiently research and prepare for debates.

The next conference is at Saint Ignatius High School on November 8th.
