Braid your way into Prom
With Prom around the corner, junior and senior girls everywhere are in search of the ideal hairstyle. Braids are a classic hairstyle, one that almost everyone with longer hair knows how to do. So, why not spice it up for Prom? Whether you want an elegant up-do or long, flowing hair, York Hi has you covered.
1. Side Fishtail Braid
Fishtail braids in themselves are a bit more unique than a normal braid, and putting them on the side allows for everyone to see your fancy weaving.
2. Bun with Wrap Around Braid
Buns are a sleek, professional hairstyle, and they are very easy to do. Disguising the hair-tie with a braid gives the style much more depth and appeal, and makes it more formal.
3. Pulled Back Braid
This is probably one of the simplest ways to use a braid. Put some soft waves in your hair, and braid a small piece of hair. It will look like you put a lot of effort in, even though it took minutes.
4. Waterfall Braid
This is a very elegant, soft hairstyle. The side of the head this braid is on will have a waterfall-like effect (as the name implies) since the loose strands of hair originate in the braid.
5. Wrap Around Braid
This is basically a french braid, but instead of going down on the side of the head, it goes around the back. It looks simple from the front, but much more stylish and complicated from the back and side.
