York students begin May with a variety of in-person and virtual events. Elmhurst and Bensenville resident families gather on their last religious education class at St.Charles Borromeo Church. Families picked up litter along Grand Ave. It was really nice to do something for our community, seventh-grader Elise Bertsche said. I think its important to take time and take care of our beautiful environment.

Indo Pak club members meet for the first time at school for their last meeting of the year. Members brought different snack items for a small picnic. Meeting in person is a lot more fun than joining over a screen, Vice President Ibrahim Rahman said. Im glad we got to end the year with our picnic and Im excited for more in person meetings and events.

The Speech Team concludes their regular season with a championship at Metea Valley High Schools annual Scheidecker Memorial tournament. The Speech Team has begun preparing for the state series competition which begins on Feb. 6, 2021.
