York’s Blood Drive was hosted April 12th, 2016 in the South Gym.

Students couldn’t wait to get to the South Gym, April 12th to be a part of York’s Blood Drive, hosted by LifeSource; Chicago Blood Center. The drive went from 1st to 7th period, and students of all blood types attended to donate in order to save up to three lives.

Students arrive in the South Gym during first period to sign in and present their permission slip.
Students prior to donating must take a small survey to make sure their healthy enough to donate.

Students find out their Hemoglobin levels and iron levels of their blood and take their temperature prior to donating in these private booths.

The drive was a success. Unfortunately, it is the last one of this year. However, make sure you take advantage of this amazing opportunity next year.
