York’s Favorite Fearsome Fall Flicks
All over the internet you can easily find lists of the top horror movies to watch. Halloween aficionados scare themselves with these creepy movies leading up to the day itself to get them into the Halloween spirit.
Since York is known for their school pride and spirit, the York-hi staff went around and asked students, who also have Halloween spirit, what their favorite Halloween movie is.

“I’m going to say The Exorcist. I know it’s not scary now but my 11 year old self was definitely spooked.” – Dominic Pastorelle, junior
“I love The Nightmare Before Christmas because it has my two favorite holidays in one movie.” – Kaylen Doyle, junior
“Mine would be The Shining because of the infamous line: ‘Here’s Johnny!’ It gets me every time.” – Natalie Rohman, senior
“My favorite Halloween movie would probably be A Nightmare on Elm Street because it does not rely on jump scares to be scary.” – CJ Karwowski, senior
