Christmas cheer for all to hear

It’s that time of year again! The most wonderful time of year, that is. Before we know it, signs of Christmas will be filling our speakers, neighborhoods, taste buds, noses, and almost everything else around us for the entire month of December.

One of the most exciting aspects of Christmas is undoubtedly the music. The cheerful, soothing tunes of Santa Claus and jingle bells get so many Christmas lovers in the spirit of the holidays. If you are in need of a little Christmas spirit, Michael Buble’s “Christmas” is a fantastic album that will surely put a smile on any scrooge’s face.

Now, we must not forget one of the most important parts of the Christmas season: ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas. It is absolutely delightful to turn on the television for the entirety of December and find a Christmas classic playing. Whether it’s “Elf,” “A Christmas Story,” or “The Polar Express,” there is a Christmas movie for everyone.

While music and movies are two of the most popular Christmas trademarks, even the small things make the Christmas season as joyful as it is. Christmas lights entangled in the trees of downtown Elmhurst, the small yard trees lining the front lawns of neighborhoods, and of course, two much deserved weeks of winter break.

Whether you’re giving or receiving, presents most definitely bring a little more joy into the lives of everyone. Many of us would greatly appreciate seeing the new iPhone or Xbox sitting under our trees when we wake up Christmas morning, which separates Christmas from any other holiday.

As Christmas approaches, let us not forget to pause and appreciate the festivity and joy that surrounds us. It is only around Christmas-time that you can experience such things!
