York Girls Bowling taking on the WSC
Running a hot season this year, York’s Girls Bowling team keeps a high record with wins against Downers Grove North this past Tuesday at Stardust Bowl in Addison and the Ed Puck tournament on Friday, and taking second at the Hinsdale Central invite on Saturday.
Hannah Schwarz, senior, scored 721 points over the three games with an eight strike streak against DGN. All seniors were honored for their commitment to the team and with warm wishes for their future on Tuesday.
Lead by their coach Ms. Katie Schroeder, Jessica Jensen senior says, “bowling is a really mental sport and it’s easy to be hard on yourself and I think that our coach does a good job at getting us out of our own heads and focused on a larger goal.”
