Abby Conners is a junior at York and is taking Advanced Journalism for the first time this year. In her free time, Abby likes to drive around with her friends, listen to music, watch new movies, read and sometimes even paint. She is excited to report with the rest of the staff and become more involved in the York community.

The art department works together in-person for the full day schedule. Teachers and students have adapted to the changes by following social distancing guidelines and cleaning supplies and workstations.

The Advanced Journalism calendar remains frozen from March 2020 with plans of an April return. On March 13, 2020, Elmhurst CUSD 205 closed all schools for three weeks. This Monday, over one year later, students will return to the building four days a week.
