RAYS club serving the Elmhurst community

As the rays of sunshine just begin to peak through the morning sky, the RAYS service club at York works diligently to serve our community. Meeting every Friday morning at 7:10 am in room C278, the RAYS club, which stand for “Raising Awareness for Youths in Society,” completes service projects to benefit the community. On October 3rd, the club continued a project to make friendship bracelets for the children’s hospital for Halloween. Throughout the year, they tackle similar service projects like making cards for hospital patients and collecting toys for children around Christmastime.

On October 30th, the club will be traveling to Schaumburg, IL, to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children. Anyone is able to participate; however, they must contact the club president, Ellen Hartley, prior to attending. She can be contacted at [email protected].

RAYS club meets every friday morning at 7:10 am in C278 (Mrs. M. Carlson’s room), and is open to any and all new members.
